  This establishment resembles an internment camp, it literally sends shivers down your spine. It's caustic decor combined with an innate feel of discomfort barely meets the needs to survive the night, never mind enjoy it. Perhaps the vending machine with €1 coffee is so you keep buying hot drinks to prevent hypothermia. On arrival I overheard another customer complaining about her room being cold, to which the receptionist replied 'The heating comes on at 6'. However, she didn't say for how long and certainly didn't offer to put it on early! We then proceeded to the room which was like entering a commercial freezer. All that was missing was a ball and chain to tie to my ankles, just to complete the suffering. The radiator was on to the max(5) , yet the room was still freezing. We headed out for dinner and hoped it would have improved by the time we returned. But alas, it was not to be. We said maybe it would be better once we got into the bed. But alas, yet again no. We put on our clothes and tried to sleep in them but it was so uncomfortable. I never had so many leg, hip and shoulder pains from a mattress, which I could imagine would give a bed of nails a run for its money. Nobody at reception during the night, place seemed deserted, so simply gave up and lay there, cold and miserable until morning. Got up and left, the receptionist said the manager was 'unavailable' and wasn't in at the weekend. We went and got breakfast and coffee at a local cafe to try and thaw out. The drip on my poor sniffly nose that had turned into a stalactite overnight finally melted. What a disaster of a night. This place simply cannot heat itself during the winter months, as the minuscule raidator is simply not doing enough to heat a room. I would imagine the insulation is non existent also. My garden shed is far warmer with a small plug in heater, and thats saying something. Even the option of an extra blanket or two would be nice but alas a thin duvet and flat pillow was all we had.
  Also, they say good location but never mention the fact that parking is a few minutes walk. There is no ACTUAL PARKING at the property, and beware the lane is a dead end so you will have to reverse on out. Also, there are many far better places to stay in the area. A basic b&b would be light years better, never again! Unless you are into self torture, and maybe leave that 'till the summer months.
